SHILOH’S “ANGEL TREE WISH LIST”

Members who wish to receive their end of the year statement can sign-up at the Shiloh Informational Table.

OFFICIAL LEADERS MEETING (Deacons and Trustees Only) – With Bishop Brown is going to be held on January 16, 2018 at 6 pm.

ANNUAL CHURCH/VISION MEETING – Will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 7 pm.

ALL MINISTRY PRESIDENTS:

It is that time again! Election of ministry presidents and officers takes place every two years per the church constitution. Each ministry of Shiloh is asked to meet with your particular ministry and elect your new 2018 officers. Please provide the church office with your incoming ministry presidents and officers as soon as possible.

 ~AND~

A three-month calendar (Jan.-Mar.) is in process. Please meet with your ministry and forward all dates for approval to the church office. Your prompt attention is greatly appreciated.

 PROJECT GENESIS TEXAS ROADHOUSE FUNDRAISER-ONGOING:

You are invited to dine on ANY Sunday, at the Texas Roadhouse located 1736 Merritt Blvd 21222 for lunch or dinner. Each member is asked to pick up the “Texas Roadhouse Flyer” on the table in the Narthex. Present the flyer to your waiter or waitress and 10% of your food sales will be donated back to our church. This is an on-going program, EVERY Sunday is an opportunity to support your church. You must have the flyer with the church label on it & go to the Merritt Blvd location only. Thank you in advance for your support.

SAVE-THE-DATE: PCIF Unity Day Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 @10 am. We will have special guest workshop presenters: Dr. Heber Brown III & Rev. Vanetta Rathers; followed by our Worship Encounter with Dr. William Curtis as our guest proclaimer. All ministers, leaders, ministry chairpersons, ushers, and members are encouraged to be in attendance.

TASTE OF SHILOH – February 25, 2018

This is when we share our “culinary skills” with our entire church family. As you know you can donate: meats, salads, starch, vegetables, dips, desserts, drinks, and or a monetary donation. This feast has grown over the past several years and planning is necessary. There will be a sign-up sheet in the Narthex for you to donate. Please see Dr. Naomi Mackall.

CHURCH ANNIVERSARY ASSESSMENTS – It’s not to late!! During this season of giving let us not forget to give toward the 119th Church Anniversary financial goal. Every member is encouraged to give something as we “Love Jesus and Love our church”.

THE CREW MINISTRY is sponsoring a Family Fun night on the first Friday of the New Year in the Shiloh Dining Hall. On January 5th at 7 pm, we will have food, fun, games, activities and an opportunity to give to others. The CREW is partnering with Casey Cares in a pajama drive and on Friday, January the 5th, we will bring and wrap pajamas to give to pediatric patients that have conditions that require overnight treatments and procedures. This effort serves children in several different hospitals throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. What a fun, exciting and meaningful night for the whole family! If you have questions, please see Bro. CHRISTMAS On-Line BIBLE CLASS INTENSIVE will be held for the Crew from Tuesday, December 26th -Friday, December 29th. Class is held every day and youth are encouraged to attend every session. Sessions are held online from 7-8 pm.

TREE OF LIFE: 

The tree of life is a magnificent wood and acrylic sculpture adorned with gold leaves. The tree of life offers each of us a chance to celebrate milestones of the journey of life: birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, children’s births, baby dedications, marriages, and other significant moments. Of course it is also a way to remember loved ones who are no longer with us. Most importantly it is a way to be part of the living history of the Shiloh Baptist Church family 119 years strong. Please join this Shiloh legacy in the way that makes most sense for you and your family. You may see committee members: Dea. Jack & Sue McClinton, Deidre Merritt, or Gloria Porter. The Tree of Life is another way of telling the Shiloh story.

Any member who is interested in joining the Transportation Ministry please see Trustee Jonathan Sawyers or contact the church office. Having a CDL and/or a flexible schedule would be appreciated.

OFFERING ENVELOPES:

All members are encouraged to place your envelope number on the pew envelope. Please call Sister Athena in the church office at 410-477-8886 if you need assistance with knowing and/or obtaining your envelope number.

The Café will be open this Sunday! Donuts, Muffins, Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate.

 THE 911 MINISTRY are offering monthly screenings clinics to anyone who is interested. They will be held in the choir room every 3rd Sunday of the month after communion service?

SUNDAY SCHOOL:

Join us every Sunday morning for Sunday school at 9:00 a.m. everyone is encouraged to attend and grow.

NO LIMIT DANCE REHEARSAL:

Rehearsal every Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
